Careers Through Culinary Arts Program
Don’t you just love going into a restaurant that boasts of impeccable service? Have you experienced tipping more than the usual amount because you were totally impressed of the food and the level of service? Don’t you wish you’d experience this every time you go into a restaurant?
Actually, the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), is exerting a lot of effort to help raise the quality of service in restaurants. And how do they do this? Careers through Culinary Program provide opportunities for the underserved youth. The program includes education on culinary arts, internship, and employment.
This non-profit organization offers the biggest culinary scholarship program in all of the United States. Careers through Culinary Arts Program presented a whooping $2,000,000 scholarship fund to student chefs in 2004.

Bulletproof Pharmacy Technician Career
The world of work has certainly changed a great deal in the last few years. Outsourcing and increasing amounts of unemployment have led to great upheavals and changes in the workplace. Even those who are still gainfully employed often find themselves looking over their shoulders waiting for the axe to fall. So, how can people find the right career? While no career is a ’sure thing,’ they can prepare for an in-demand, seemingly bulletproof career such as pharmacy technician.
No matter how many blue collar and white collar jobs are outsourced or eliminated, there will always be a need for pharmacy technicians at the local corner drug store, pharmacy or pharmaceutical company. These vital medical professionals prepare prescriptions, bill insurance companies and serve customers throughout the community. Another piece of good news is that the need for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other medical professionals is only expected to grow in the years to come – the BLS projects that there will be three million new health care positions in the next decade.
